Welcome to the New York State Council SHRM

Greetings New York State HR Professionals,

As I kick off my last year as State Council Director of New York State SHRM (NYS SHRM), I remain passionate to continue the "Giveback" theme I set into place in 2021. HR Professionals continue to be challenged each day with new situations, laws and mandates they must navigate while leading with empathy and compassion.

The State Council serves as the bridge between local state chapters and the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). With over 305,000 national SHRM members, SHRM remains the voice for the HR profession and strives for Better Workplaces Better World.

The "Giveback" theme will support state-wide Red Cross services, certification grants, conference registration grants, SHRM Foundation fundraising events, priceless networking and a wellness check-in with monthly virtual COVID-19 chats. I have been able to successfully navigate my tenure as State Council Director with the support, kindness and friendships I have gained from the State Council and the local Buffalo chapter.

I am honored to be the State Council Director and will continue to strive throughout my term to giveback to such an amazing profession and serve HR professionals to the best of my abilities.

We will be holding our annual NYS Annual Conference in Turning Stone in person in September 11-13th. We are beyond excited to be back in person after two years. Hope to see you in September!

Sincerely,

Kathleen Pascucci, MBA, PHR, SHRM-CP
